Does anyone know if you can Park you 4WD and camp on the beaches in Kingston or Robe?

We want to target some Sharks, Mulloway in mid March. Any suggustions on some locations?

Any tips would be appreciated. Even other better locations around the area / on the way to Adelaide.

Cheers
Dan

ive been to robe but only fished off the rocks and the big pier but not for mulloway sice it was so windy. long beach is the best and most consistant proiducer of mulloway in the area from what ive heard. robe marina also has a few school jew.

I surf fish down that way a lot. The beach fishing is good near Robe at times but around Kingston it is heaps better.
Good camps are to be found all the way from the granites which is close to Kinsgton all the way up to the 42 mile crossing. You can drive your four wheel drive on the beach legally. I advise travelling on low tide and let the tyres down to around 18 psi. There are designated camping areas, permits are $ 5 a night. Get the permits at kingston or at the info booths at the 28 and 42 mile crossing entry points.
Expect heaps of mulloway in the 50 to 70 cm size range over the next few months with a few thumpers about as well.
A mate got a nice 1.3 metre long Mully recently. Try to fish the new moon period and concentrate your efforts on any tide change but especially toward sunset and after dark.
Good gummy, school and bronze whaler sharks, salmon and flathead also. Over March / April the Elephant fish arrive here too, fun to catch but I don't like the taste of them.
If you need more info send me an email

gday im from SA living in vicco now.
That beach is fantastic, just be careful as it can get very very soft. Take shovels, a high lift or exhaust jack and maybe some of those recovery ramps if youre giong to try to go all the way along the beach from beachport to nora creina or even robe.

Also SA is'nt like victoria. My mates and I camp in our swags anywhere we please in SA, with our dogs and our beers and have never been moved on or hassled or fined. SOme places include- the beach at nora creina, morgans beach carpark, in the dunes at dozens of places from Pt. Lincoln to adelaide to mt.gambier. We are always careful to leave NOTHING behind, no cigarette butts no beer bottle lids no plastic, and have never had any issues.

Take a wettie and some fins and a mask and go look for some crays whilst youre there too!!
