 Fishing Portland over ChristmasGreg Bland writes: Greetings, my wife and I are coming down from Qld to visit our grown up family and two young grand children in Melbourne. We will be in Portland from 26th Dec till 5th Jan on hols. Just wondering what is the cost of going fishing down there? The old story goes that my son and I want to catch a big fish. So far no joy. There are two charter boats that operate out of that port. You can find them at www.portlandnow.net.au. As for fish, snapper, whiting, kingfish, mulloway and a host of others are available.
