Trying to hook a Mulloway

Sam writes:
G'day all,
For catching mulloway how do I go about first catching the poddy mullett as I have had no luck before. Secondly, what rig do I use. Also, when is the best time. hope someone can help me.

Brad K writes:
Sam, poddy mullet can be caught in a clear plastic bait trap using bread and tuna oil. You will want to use a mulllet between 5 and 12cm long and hook him lightly behind the dorsal fin. Use a running sinker rig. Mulloway are known to be on the bite around the full moon. Good luck.
