Beautiful day for fishing. Water temp. 13.5 degrees, still a little cold for the snapper. Not a bite at Ricketts Point. Plenty of boats at Carrum Reef late afternoon. Flatties on the bite, but small. All fish released. Great day anyway. |

Took brother in-law's new boat out for first run. Water conditions ideal by late afternoon. Fish on the bite from 4.15pm to 5.15pm, high tide. First few small ones took the pipi, then they hit the pilchards. Great day for boat's first run. Released the small guys. 20 boats in our area at the time. (See photo in Gallery section.) |

I fished the Motor Yacht Squadron pier and it was going off. There was 2 or three others fishing and between us we caught about 20 pinkies ranging from 27cm-32cm. One person got a snapper of about 1 kilo. I was very surprised to see the amount of action there was. |
