30+ toadies @ who cares |

Started fishing from Hampton rock groynes and caught a couplel of toadies. Then moved to Middle Brighton pier and got swamped by toads. Was gettin double headers on gar float rig. Also caught a few on whiting rig. Berleyed up and had plenty of small mullet attacking the berley as soon as it hit the water. Just before we left there was something scaring the bejesus out of the mullet. They would shower out of the water spasmodically. We threw a few plastics and slugs but with no luck. My guess is a big pike or snook. I have seen a few big snook cruising the pier at night. |

The wind was howling but the fish were biting. The fish especially liked the gulp bloodworm. They clean the hooks off at regular intervals. I tried several different jigs for squid, but no luck. It was fun. |

Whiting began biting almost instantly. good to see there is still a good population, heaps of pike in the water which ended any chance of keeping the gars around. |

Was great to target the whiting inside the rockwall on the camo worms. The pike was caught on a flickbait on my way back to the car casting towards the sand split. |

Just myself and one other guy on the pier. No bites, nothing. Was a very warm night though, quite nice but no fish. |
