Not good off the rocks, as I was walking back to the car I saw a guy pull in a small squid then I looked in the water and saw a big black shadow moving. I threw my squid jig in and was onto a massive one.(See photo in Gallery section). |

I went to Brighton this morning. Got there at 4am and set up on the end of the bend. Had 3 rods out with pipi, blue bait and squid. I had 1 pinky (just legal) on the whole blue bait at about 5am so I changed the other rods to half blue bait. I had 2 smaller pinkies around 6.30am and had lots of bites, (it really picked up around this time after being quiet and just as the sun had come up the bites came on fast) I packed up just after 7.30am. Good morning and definitely will return again soon. I usually drive down to Mornington, but Brighton is closer and an easy drive in the morning. Quite funny to see so many joggers around, I know how I prefer to spend my spare time. Cheers, Wozza. |
