Fish Caught:

1 x salmon @ 40cm
1 x salmon @ bait size
1 x port jackson shark @ 1m

Comments: Was a pretty eventful fishing trip, my son and I got there at about 7pm because I had to work. Had a hold of a nice fish, but my eyelet on my rod decided to break so I had to go back home for another rod.  Came back with the man at about 3am caught the port jacksons first then the big salmon both on his rod mind you.  Got a ripper of a fish on my rod and you never guess what happened, the reel SEIZED UP! Fish went underneath the jetty and it was end of story.  I'll tell you a few choice words came out of my mouth.  Overall a pretty fun fishing trip.

Comments: Pretty quite on pier, shark cruising around on the inside of breakwall half way along pier. Not a lie folks! Had I not seen it with my own two eyes I'd be sceptical also. 6ft of water just under the surface, blue/grey colour, approx 5ft log and although it seems impossible I'd call it a blue or maybe a whaler. It has huge pectorial fins, more like a pelagic. I still can't believe it myself. One thing is for sure I wouldn't be hanging around if I was a squid. Having said that about an hour before we arrived a guy managed a few decent squid then all went quiet. Sharks around can only mean one thing, it's SNAPPER time! Fish top end of bay and shallow that's what I'll be doing!

Comments: A few friends and I fished the pier last night with a very succesful night.  Heaps and heaps of garfish. Everyone was having fun. I went there bait fishing, but the sizes that were coming out were huge. Most garfish were 40cm and nice and fat.  Worth a look!
